I would also agree.....

As a free user of rapidshare it would take a week to download all the content in this thread alone....

I downloaded a video earlier from rapidshare & it was 95.7MB .rar and was part 1.....

Not sure how large part 2 is but I have to wait 130 minutes to D/L it......

After waiting a half hour I tried again out of curiosity & it said I had to wait 115 minutes so their timer is screwed as well.....

By my calculations 130 minutes minus 30 minutes equals 100 minute not 115 minutes.....

I have also noticed the same kind of problem. It is like RS punishes you for attempting to dload again before the time it told you to wait. I divide the number it says by 60 to get the hours, then I subtract whatever number is to the left of the decimal and multiply the remainder by 60 to get the minutes. I then write it down somewhere so I don't forget and maybe wait an additional 5 to 10 minutes so I don't get punished again.

Example 1:
130 minutes. 130/60 = 2.1666666666. So that is 2.166666666 hours. Subtract 2 and multiply the remainder by 60..... and it gives you 10 minutes. So 130 minutes is really 2 hours and 10 minutes. I would then look at the clock, add at Least 2 hours and 15 minutes just to be safe. Then after the time has passed try again.

You may only be able to dload 3 files from RS in a day. However, a trick that I have used lately when vids are posted on both RapidShare and MegaUpload simultaneously, is that I dload part 1 from RS and then part 3 from MU (not part 2). Sometimes the last file isn't too large and MU may allow you to dload again. You then dload part 2 from MU. The file names will be different from each site. Just make them the same and RAR will never know the difference.

Example 2:
File 1 from RS may be named KT001[1].part1.rar
File 2 from MU may be named KT001.part2.rar
File 3 from MU may be named KT001.part3.rar

Rename File 1 to KT001.part1.rar to make it uniform to the other two and you are set.
